4 years later..

4 years ago today I received the most precious, awesomest present that a person could ever be gifted. I was made a mother at 817pm. I had a very long labor that ended in a c-section and every moment (including the 9 months of puking) we were worth it, once I was holding my baby boy in my arms.


Dearest Matthew, every day is an adventure with you.

You are the sweetest, most caring, energetic, stubborn, adorable, red head and I am so blessed to be your mom. You give me a run for my money at least once a day and always have a great comeback for anything I ask of you. Your brother is your best friend and worst enemy all in one moment. You look up to your dad and adore your grandparents!

You amaze me everyday with something new you have learned, or some act of kindness. You are the most precious gift and I adore every moment of every day watching you grow and mature into the man you will soon become.

Please don't grow too quickly.... Happy 4th Birthday sweetie pie!

Matthew and his Gpa (my dad) were wrestling in the living room..

Matthew was getting a running start in the kitchen and my dad yells in "I'm gonna getcha little man" ..

"Matthew with perfect inflection in his voice.. "Not today Old Man!"

Not one of us expected that.. We were laughing sooo hard.. Now of course Matthew says that to his dad and Gpa all the time!!!

Kids say the darndest..

So my hubby was picking Matthew up from Day care one day and noticed something silly. I checked it out the very next day.. On the door was a posted that posted something nice to do on 2011 from each of the kids in the class. Most wrote.. Be nice to my little brother, or pick up my room, listen to mommy....

Matthew's was.... "Stop pulling the hair out of my cat's back!" HAHAHA seriously... he is a riot!
