Vacation all I ever wanted....

Cape Ann Mass, Here we come.......
Family fun on board our Whale Watch... Notice our sweet baby is asleep! Yep he actually slept for part of the trip!!! Our only family photo oh well!
Our sweet boys posing for a quick picture on a perfect New England rocky beach!

Jon, Matthew, Jacob and I headed to Cape Ann (specifically Rockport, MA) this past weekend for a few days of relaxation (ha..yeah right with kids.. we were hoping!) and fun!!!!

Rockport is a quaint adorable town on the North Shore of Massachusetts. Rocky beaches, whale watches, and yummy seafood is what is in store for anyone visiting...

Matthew's favorite part of vacation is of course...... wait for it..wait for it...
Staying in a hotel! He loves swimming in the pool, sleeping in the big bed, going to the continental breakfast buffet, and just all of it.
We had a blast...

We attempted a Whale Watch which was unbelievable (seriously) we saw 9 North Atlantic Right Whales, which is unheard of this time of year and with their numbers in the 200's they will probably be extinct in the next 100 - 150 years. So it was simply AMAZING!!! A few of the whales popped up feet from the boat and one so close to where Matthew and I were standing. He was amazed... Just watching his face was worth every cent the trip cost ($90 if you were wondering..) It was a LLLOOONNNGGG day for all of us but the kids did great.

The next day we hiked around Halibut State Park. Matthew and Jon (of course me too) enjoyed checking out all the little tidal pools for fun critters... We found a ton of crabs, periwinkles, and other ocean fun! Then we had a quick picnic in the "forest" near by.

We shopped in town, walked on the beach, and just spent some quality time as a family. Here are some good shots from our trip! Enjoy!!

Look at Jake's buddha... I love that it peaks out and is sooo cute. Too bad if mine did that people would run away screaming! HAHA!

Here is a picture for Mom n' Me Monday's! We had a ball crawling over the rocks, and finding ocean critters. It was a super fun day!

The picture below is of my adorable, sometimes aggravating 3 year old. His grumpy face!! We rarely see this one (do you feel the sarcasm!!)
